OVERVIEW
The General Ameri*Steel D460 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle’s drive axle.
The tire provides a secure performance. The symmetric tread design with the staggered tread blocks and the wide groove pattern keeps the footprint clean at all times. In this manner, mud and snow cannot pack into the grooves and cut off the tire’s contact with the road surface, as the tread eliminates them. This pattern also actively prevents stone retention from shortening the tire’s service life by preventing rocks from drilling into the tire’s casing. This allows the tire to increase its driving safety.
The model’s tread compound and symmetric tread design work together to lengthen the tread life. The wear-resistant durable compound decreases the tread wear rate with the stronger rubber materials. The symmetric tread design with the stabilized tread elements enables the model to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid irregular tread wear formations on the tire’s surface. The even and slower tread wear rate extends the tire’s usability and tread life greatly.
The Ameri*Steel D460 ensures a fuel efficient drive. The optimal tread design guarantees the tire’s close road contact and increases all weather traction. This eases the driving pressure off the tire and manages to lower the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire, which regulates the vehicle’s fuel consumption. The reduced rolling resistance significantly decreases the vehicle’s fuel intake and CO2 emissions, upgrading the fuel efficiency and environmental consciousness.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
